| Qty. of Cylinders | The machine has two parts: a fixed tong (power tong) and a rotating tong (backup tong). I. Structures and Features
The YNJQ-1000/120 bucking machine utilizes 6 synchronized hydraulic cylinders on the stationary tong to clamp the pin end of the connection. Each cylinder drives an individual jaw, and the synchronizer is an Italian-made component with reliable performance. The stationary tong allows slight concentric floating to meet automatic centering requirements, with clamping force controlled, adjusted, and locked by the hydraulic system.
The rotating main tong uses a hydraulic internal-expansion mechanism to clamp the box end of the connection and performs continuous rotation. An energy-saving pump enables automatic speed adjustment—high speed for make-up and low speed for torqueing—meeting the demands of special thread connections.
This design offers several key advantages: broad application range, high mechanical strength, reliable clamping with no slippage, minimal pipe damage, small die marking in accordance with API standards, and high automation. Additionally, the machine features automatic speed regulation via a frequency converter, making it suitable for premium connections.
